Tamilnadu Reddy Nala Sangam
HISTORY : In 1996, Sri K. Rengarajan (KRT), Sri K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran,
Former minister of Tamil Nadu and other senior members of community
under the able guidance of Justice N. Krishnasamy Reddiar started
Association which was widely recognized on 25th May 1997.

Sundararasu Reddiar, Vilathikulam, Sri K. P. Srinivasaga Perumal and Sri
V. Devaraj Reddiar were the first President, General Secretary and
Treasurer of Association respectively. . Later it registered with Tamil
Nadu Government in the year 2001, registration No.219/2001

- To promote the wellbeing of the Reddy community in Tamilnadu and safeguard the rights and interests
- To secure the fusion of sub-sects of Reddy community.
- To strive for social, educational, economic upliftment of community.
- To inculcate scientific temper and rational thinking within the community with evolving technological advancement.
- To raise funds from donations and memberships.
- To establish district units of the Association.
- To establish vocational, technical, medical, arts and science institutions.
- To establish working woman's hostels, old age homes, community halls and counselling centres.
- To obtain aforesaid objectives the following measures are to be employed:
a. To provide and maintain hostels for Reddy students.
b. To provide scholarships for deserving Reddy students.
c. To publish books, pamphlets, Journals etc.
d. To cooperate with other bodies having similar objectives and do whatever is necessary for obtaining the above objectives.
Made to pass resolutions to include Reddy (Ganjam) sub-sect in the central list of OBC.

Madras Presidency, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Kalainger Dr. M.
Karunanidhi renamed the Government Estate as "OMANDURAR ESTATE".

Office
bearers of Association met Hon. Kalainger Dr. M. Karunanidhi, Chief
Minister of Tamilnadu and Hon. K. N. Nehru, Minister for Food and Civil
supplies of Tamil Nadu for requesting them to use of their good offices
for excluding Konda Reddy from the state list of the backward classes
and to remove the difficulties of Reddy (Ganjam) in obtaining
certificates from the Government officers, |
